1. How to respond

1.1 Public consultation runs for six weeks from 16 March 2018 until 5pm 27 April 2018.

1.2 This draft Statement of Consultation (SCI) has been published for public consultation to give residents, businesses, Town and Parish Councils and other groups an opportunity to have a say in how they want to be involved in guiding future development within those parts of East Hampshire District outside of the South Downs National Park.

1.3 The Council welcomes suggestions on community engagement techniques that are considered to encourage effective participation. The Council will consider the comments received and where appropriate will make amendments to the SCI.

1.4 A schedule of representations and officer responses will be made publicly available when the final SCI is taken to Council for adoption. Comments cannot be treated as confidential. Your personal information, such as your postal and email address will not be published and signatures will be redacted, but your name and organisation (if relevant) will.

1.5 Planning Policy maintains a database of consultees who wish to be kept informed about Planning Policy documents. In responding to this consultation, your contact details will automatically be added to the consultation database. If you do not want to be contacted about future consultations please state this in your response. You can, of course, contact us at any time to request the removal of your details from the database.

1.7 Paper copies of the document are available for inspection at the Council Offices at Penns Place Petersfield during normal office hours.

How do I comment?

1.8 If you would like to comment on this document please send your views via our online consultation portal, email or to the postal address below. With the aim of reducing the use of paper and achieving efficiency savings, the Council's preferred communication method is to receive representations via our online consultation portal or email. However, the Council will accept representations submitted by post.
